Here is some info if you don't have it

www.xmmerger.com or www.siriusmerger.com

I think this may work out well. So Sirius users, what are some good channels? :D

:stupid:

I'm looking forward to it. I'm hoping I'll finally find a rock station that I can just leave on and not want to change it. I feel like I'm constantly swapping from one station to another these days.

Just looked at their programming and I think I have picked out a few to add to my xm lineup.
I am sure that we will do the A La Carte II so that we can mix in both xm channels and sirius channels.

Since we're sharing favorite channels, I guess some of us XM guys should share, too. :D

20 (Top 20 on 20), 26 (Flight 26), 29 (U-Pop), 30 (XM Hitlist), and 60 (Soul Street) I only listen to once in a while if I notice something good is on as I scroll through the list.

40 (Deep Tracks), 41 (Boneyard), 42 (XM Liquid Metal), 46 (Top Tracks), 48 (Squizz), and 49 (Big Tracks) are the main ones I listen to. It's nice that they're all together so you can scroll through them pretty quickly. I probably listen to 49 more than anything.

150 (XM Comedy) is pretty good when I don't really feel like listening to music or I'm in a bad mood. Pretty good programming - Lewis Black, George Carlin, etc. 151 (Laugh USA) has never really done it for me.

yeah. on xm I reguarly listen to 20, 26, 30, 41, 48.

The 80's and 90's channels pretty much suck IMO on xm.
When the other programming is available I'll have to get Hair Nation :D

left of center-jus some good, out there stuff, i'm never dissapointed..
Sirius Punk,(Blackflag, Fugazi, rollinsband, Dead kenedys, Pistols etc.) Outlaw Country-waylon, willlie, haggard etc) octane-damn this is darkest most hardest station there i've found..its like so black, you think to yourself, " what's darker than this network?"..and the answer is none.. none darker.. so many double bass kicks and screaming....

underground garage is jus good... old stuff, new stuff, always somthing cool, its sometimes hosted by Steven Van Zant...who played Silivio Dante on the Sopranos but he also played for years with Springsteen..
his segment called Lil Steven's Underground garage..

The A'La Carte's will probably require a new reciever. That sucks because I purchased the XM Commander because it had pre-amped RCA outputs that I feed into my Sony deck.

Oh... channels...

80, 81, 82, 84, and 101 :smokin: when I feel like jamming.

Sounds like XM Liquid Metal (42). About the only time I listen is when I scroll past and notice Metallica, Megadeth, or Pantera on there. Usually it's stuff like Deicide (link) (http://www.deicide.com/) that really isn't my cup of tea.

actually believe it or not this is what the website says:

Best of Both Packages Will Be Available on Existing Radios referring to both a la carte subscriptions.

which is suprising but I'm glad!

I don't want 100 channels but it would be nice to mix and match both xm & sirius. It's a little more $ but it will be worth it to select your own channels. Now we need directv & cable to start this mix & match.

But it also says it will be a year after the merger before this a la carte packaging is available. All the other packaging is 6 months after the merger.
