On a Fox-body, it's located on the frame rail below the stock airbox. I believe it is held on my a bracket and one screw. Go ahead and remove the CANP solenoid while you're at it (located in-line on the hose back to the intake). Just make sure you plug the fitting at the intake.

the charcoal canister located on the front passenger side frame rail that filters fuel vapor from the fuel tank. There is a vapor line that runs from the fuel tank to this canister and then to the intake for safety and emissions purposes.

it mounts on the little tab right there in the lower left of the picture....

No. The fuel vapor line, with the purge solenoid, runs from the charcoal canister to a metal tube coming off the bottom-front of the upper intake; right behind the distributor. You need to plug the metal tube on the intake or you'll have a huge vacuum leak.

Left intake, right side, top hose. plug that line,

It's in/under there where the arrow points,

Actually, I think that gray-silvery hose right behind the distributor is the line with the solenoid which runs to the charcoal canister. Hard to tell from the picture, but I don't know what else it could be.

Spence. Do you have a reason behind removing it?

not really, everyone on the Mark Site has removed theirs and I was going to use the wires to power my fan turn on relay.

EDIT: should I leave it?
