Bought on 09-08-2007 with 8,000 miles on it. Bone stock like Joseph's when he bought it...tires, paper filter and all.

Mid October 2007 installed a Steeda Cat Back.

Dynoed at Walker Dynotune on 10/21/2007
Made 395hp/386tq
Made 405hp/390tq with the air filter removed.

Steeda Cat back....

Nice! It made only a few less hp and more torque than mine did with an intake and catback. :nice:

Thanks brother! I was pleasantly surprised for sure.

On a side note.....when do you think a Mafia is necessary Joseph??

Nice numbers. How far do you plan on going with mods for it?

Thanks. As far as mods go......my goal for the car is exactly like Joseph's. Keep it a street driven car but with respectable numbers. I've gone way too far in the past with my cars and I'm trying to stay a little more grounded with this one.

I already have a JLT true cold air, billetflow 2.76/2.93 uppers and 4 billetflow idlers in the mail for it. Then I'll get the new SCT tuner for it and that will be my next trip to the dyno. Plans behind that are an IRS brace, upgraded heat exchanger, HID's, 10.5" rear stockers, H&R race springs and maybe a mid-pipe.

You should be fine with a 2.76" upper with an unported blower. If you go any further, you'll need one.

I'll consider it. But I'm going to try and keep from going that far with it. Big emphasis on "try".

10/30/2007-Added a JLT True Cold Air kit today. Definately added SOTP feel for sure. Not sure if I'll be able to have it dynoed prior to the pulley/tune but would like to if possible to see the gains.

I'll post pics soon and dyno numbers if I get the chance to go. ;)

When you talk to him again, please ask him to call me if he still wants my wheels. :D I tried calling him back almost every day at different times of the day for weeks and never got an answer.

Also, I'd kinda like to have that pulley tool back one day.

11/03/2007- Installed the Billetflow IRS brace to stiffen up the stock cover.

NightHawk756
11-11-2007, 09:26 PM
11/12/2007- Installed a Billetflow 2.76 upper pulley and their 4 Idler pulley set including the 100mm idler and bracket. This combo allows the use of the stock length belt.

Also installed the custom tune done by Rick at Amazon Tuning Solutions with an SCT Xcalibrator 3.

All I can say is WOW. This really woke the car up. Simply amazing. Can't wait to get to the dyno for some numbers.

I'll get pics up soon.

I bought it from www.amazonracing.com with a custom tune for $399 shipped. That also includes lifetime tunes if you make changes, Rick will email you an updated tune after talking with you. He's been tuning Terminators for many years now and has a great reputation.

It has everything the X2 has, just better fine tuning with timing. Plus more options with live link/datalogging options.

Yep, everyone sings his praises on SVTP. I have a friend in Tennessee that has a Whippled '03 Cobra and was having trouble after several trips down here to one of our local tuners and still wasn't right. So I sent him to Rick at Amazon and he was ecstatic with the results.

So I knew then that I would be getting my tune from Rick at Amazon.

11/28/2007-Went and had it dynoed today to get an idea of the progress. It made 442hp/461tq.

A/F was a good 11.5. I was hoping for a solid 450 but 442 is close enough. Not bad......$800 dollars resulted in about a 50rwhp/80rwtq increase. Seems to be right on par with most with these same mods. Although Joseph's car must be a freak with the extra torque. :D

Well, a non pulleyed Cobra is almost sacriligious isn't it?? No I had already planned to do the pulleys/tune, cold air etc. I actually was about to buy a used stock blower and have it ported but I thought better of it. I'm trying to leave it as is, I don't want to go to far. Although I'm still going to do springs/cc plates, wheels, heat exchanger, shifter and midpipe, but none of that is really performance oriented.

The Shelby is the wifes car & probably going away soon for an SUV. She got me the 04 back in Oct since we both missed having a Cobra. It's a lower mile pretty good hp car. We're really happy with it. Btw love the color of your car man.

It's now has 16,700 miles, the car was bones stock engine & exhaust wise. The onnly things done to it when we got it was a snake in the grille, letters in the bumper & 10.5 wheels on the back. Now it has a K&N drop in filter in the factory box & weld in Flowmasters & that's it.

Brian that was us at the Waffle House last sunday & it's a nice Oxford White car.

Country contrary to what a certain person in Oxford is saying the car was not totalled & it is not my car. The car is fixed & just waiting for the Shebly parts to arrive.

Mid December 2007-Bought an MRT stainless steel catted H pipe for the car. It definately woke up the cat back and kept that classic deep tone to it.

I'll post updated dyno numbers when I can get it Blake's. Most guys with my same mods saw about a 20rwhp/20rwtq when adding this mid pipe, so we'll see.

Thanks. I've been to the track once with her when she was still stock. But I missed 3rd on one run and aborted the run and on the other, after waiting in the staging lanes so long, I forgot to turn traction control off. I gave up after that run and said I'd be back once I had it tuned and a better shifter.

So when the season starts up again I'll be there a few times I'm sure. I'm also gearing up and getting ready to hit a few road course track events this coming year.

Yep, it does. I tried to make a vid of it the other day but all I had was my small memory card so there wasn't room on it. But here's a vid of a guy that actually helped me decide on the combo. He has the same cat back and mid pipe as mine does....this vid will give you an idea how it sounds.....of course vids never really give you the full feel of it. It sounds even better in person.

Update:

Well, after asking several people and using the Ford diagnostic guide, I found out that I had the dreaded "tick". Car is in the shop as we speak having the heads removed to install the new January 05 updated heads that is supposed to have better coolant passages and valve guides to fix the problem.

Since I was having to do this, I decided to do a few more things while there:

Jan 05 updated heads
Stage IV Stieg ported blower, TB and plenum
KB Boost a Pump w/ wiring upgrade
Mafia(possibly since my tuner says I'm probably not going to need it)
MM FLSFC's
H&R Race Springs
LFP Heat exchanger
NGK TR6's

Here's a pic of the new heads....

Jason at SVP Unlimited. And yes there is a 150 dollar core charge per head. Good thing I had another set of heads laying around to send for the core. :D
