New guy from Anniston, AL

Hello everybody! I just wanted to introduce myself and say hello. My name is Ben. I'm 20 and I live in Anniston. I'm on my third Mustang, and as you might've guess from my username, I drive a 2003 V6 Mach II (http://www.mach1registry.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=2791&d=1061410741). Juuuuuust kidding. I have an 04 DSG Mach 1, or as my Pontiac friend calls it "a riced out GT", with the license plate "MACHPWR" (I know it's kinda lame, but all the good ones were taken), so if you see that car driving around, hopefully it's me. I don't NORMALLY drive like an ass, so if I am, it's just one of those days that I'm feeling crazy. I'm sure you understand. :snatch:

I just got her in September. She's bonestock except for an XMDirect radio installation (which I installed myself *pats self on back*). She's a track virgin, so I don't have much to tell you in the ways of quarter mile times and what not. I could say I run 13.2, cause that's what MotorTrend ran a stock 5-speed Mach at, but alas, I'm not MotorTrend.

A little about myself, I'm super laid back and pretty much zero drama. I do have a sense of humor, so if I say my stock Mach with XM radio has 480rwhp, I'm totally kidding. I play a lot of video games, cause.. why not? PS3 and 360 mostly. I'm kinda dorky, but not like... nerdy, lol. I have two chinchillas. That would probably fall under the dorky category, but some consider it "ballin". They are awesome, though. I pretty much eat sleep and breathe cars. My ex-girlfriend hated cars, so... that didn't work out. Luckily I found a girl who loves me for me, so that's not a problem anymore. I'll spend a good 4-5 hours a day talking about cars with my Pontiac friend. I've almost converted him to a Mustang guy... just a little longer.

Other than that, I'm just your normal everyday kid, hoping to find some fellow local Mustang/car enthusiasts to share the passion with. :burnout:

Yeah! She sure did. Her and your daughter I believe. Was a strange feeling to see two DSG Machs side by side. I've met your neighbors as well. The ones that have the white Cobra. I run into his wife all the time, out on the road, and I met him yesterday. He's actually the one who referred me to this site.

Nice! I still want a TR, but I love the DSG too. Honestly, I still have trouble deciding with I like better. Some days I wish I had gotten TR and some days I'm glad I got DSG. I guess I just need one of each, lol. Where did you get yours from? Dealer or private seller?

I do, I do! That 350 gave me a run for my money. Anything done to it? And I totally should have let you get side-by-side with me before I punched it, but I was expecting a fly-by for some reason, lol. I guess I've just gotten one too many flybys, so now I come to expect them.

Plenum spacer, test pipes and exhaust now. There was a vortech s/c on it a couple months ago.

The camaro has moroso intake, msd coil/wires, hypertech thermostat, edelbrock midlengths, exhaust with a cutout. She pulled us both so, oh well..

Also after i get my clutch fixed(which was slipping) if you want another run, let me know.

Was the Z SC'ed when we were messing around that day? And I dunno man, her and I never got to race side by side, but I was behind her when she punched it, and I had to keep letting off the gas to keep from rear ending her. I'd be very much interested in a true race though. Let me know if either of you are up for it.

Isn't it just a auto LT1 with a couple of boltons? If ya'll were racing from a roll I would think the Mach would be right there with it, if not faster from a roll.

Yeah, bolt ons Adam. Me and the mach played around and he didn't pull the 350z. The camaro the same day did pull my Z by over a car by 120. Once i get the clutch in(probably next week) i will give celeste another run and talk to machpwr about one.

This is true. We started out from about 70 and got up to 130-140, and the 350z was right there with me.

Here's a picture of my car for those of you curious. Just a picture I took with my cell phone when I first got it. I've removed that front dealer tag since then. Had to go all the way to Lithia Springs, GA to find a decent condition Mach for sale. Greg saw it again yesterday. He can attest to it's unrivaled beauty.

First things I need to do are get me two 5" exhaust tips; a nice aluminum wing, maybe with built in neons, who knows; remove the Shaker and route the cold air intake so that the filter is just sticking straight up out of the hole in the hood; and maybe some VTEC stickers. Then she'll be gorgeous.

Well they are DOHC... and V8... but I'm not sure about rotary, I'll have to check.
