How is it holding up? Are you running a power adder on the box? :jester:

I've been very happy with my 3+. Very nice pedal effort, and it isn't nearly as "grabby" as I would have expected for such aggressive friction material.

Thanks Matt!,I still have a relatively new one in my truck with a lifetime warranty, but when it comes time to rebuild my engine(thinking about a 331/347) I might have to get a better set, that is,if the M5OD can handle it!

I must be pretty low on the SPEC totem pole of customers.

I never got a T-shirt... even after buying a clutch and aluminum flywheel. :(

. . . Although, I did get a couple of shots of Don Julio from one of their employees and another gave me some free pizza and beer. :D

I guess I made out pretty well. :chug:

Here's the story. About 2 years ago, a bunch of you got shirts at FFW...but there is another person in charge of those now and they are kept under VERY tight wraps. They no longer give them away at shows...they are $10 anytime any of you want them tho. Last I saw, there were only 3X black shirts. LOL.

One more week and the svo will be back in the road. Then I can talk about having one in my car.

did spec stop putting pilot bearings in there kits? i know when i bought the stage 3 for my turbo coupe it had one. and i dont remember on this stage 1 i just got it and took it to the guy that put it in. Any ways mine has from day 1 a bad bounce when taking off. i pulled the trans for a TOB problem and found a pilot bearing that was destroyed! so i put new pilot bearing and TOB in and the same clutch and P/P and it is as smooth as a stock clutch. people talk about how the specs are rough when starting off from a dead stop. i wonder if they are putting new pilot bearings in. I know i am done with paying people to work on my stuff. lol there thats all i have to say about that!

 sponsorship, yea. sponsored with the "privelege" of running a spec clutch. lol

I don't know, pilot doesn't usually affect the engagement, but if the trans was not tight it may have had issues.

what do you mean by tight? the bell housing bolts where super tight. and the input shaft had no play.

The plate is just a sticker on my valve cover plate. I believe my clutch came with a tob.

the SPEC mustang kits (up to 2004) come with

Disk
Pressure plate
Throwout bearing
Pilot bearing
Alignment tool.

The 2005+ mustangs have no bearings, just disk, plate, and tool.

Not sure on yours QWK. It should have had a roller-pilot bearing.

joecoupe: As for tight...I meant the trans bolts tight against the bell...and likewise for the bellhousing bolts. If something is loose, or there is a wire hanging down before it's tightened (and thus not letting it bolt up flat), it can all sit off-axis. That causes big problems.
