I'm working on a little experiment right now since I have an extra set of factory upper & lowers.I know there was some manufacturer that used to make a pre-cut kit from sheetmetal, that you welded onto the facory ones to beef them up,but I can't remember who it was! I'm tracing the patterns out on some sheetmetal, and cutting them out with a cutoff wheel, but was wondering if anyone knew who made the ones I mentioned?

I don't know who makes the kit but I have made several sets myself.

Made some on a set of uppers. Works nicely. Weld, then paint.

Ford Motorsport used to sell them just like that.

Thanks!,I remember that now,Summit used to sell them. What gauge of sheetmetal do you guys recommend? I'm using a piece of either 14 or 16 gauge. Don't laugh, but it's an old rear cover off of a washing machine!:wall96:

Eric I see winter boredom has taken over, hope you replace stock bushings if you intend on using them.Mac makes a set of control arms that are affordable and a lot beefier than stockers.I think they are 200 or 250 for uppers and lowers and have greasable bushings.Jon

Eric, I agree with ncontt and bad int. If you are still going to FFW, UPR has their stuff cheaper. I would think about it. If for some reason you don't go, I can pick them up for you.
