Was wondering the difference in the cam specs between PI and non-PI.

Thought it would be useful info to have.

I'm also gonna post the specs for a few various cams just for comparison purposes. :nice:

I believe MM&FF published them a couple years back in a piece they did about the differences between 4.6 SOHC motors (not just PI and non-PI, but since the beginning of the 4.6 in Lincolns). I'll see if I can find that article if I remember.

:pwhore::slap: There is a method to my madness. Trying to make some decissions myself, and thought it would make the process easier for anybody else that is looking into a cam swap.

that's what i was leaning towards, but I could get away with running stock valve springs with the stage I's.

Yeah, but you'll probably just end up wanting more and getting the Stage IIs later and needing new springs anyway.

that is something to consider, but if I did go with the stage I's its not highly likely that I would do another swap later even I did want a lil more. That is unless I went all out crazy with the mods and really needed more cam.

Well I had a talk with Scott at VT and he agrees that VT stage II's are definitely the way to go with my combo (still on the low low) So I guess I'll be buying springs after all. :P

Stage II's and a good tune on that 5.4 would be awesome! I'd be interested to see what kinda numbers it'd make.
