Here are a few pics of my cage after I have completed it. There is a few things I would change if I had it to do again but I am pleased with it being my first cage I have ever installed. Thanks Steven

Looks good man.

Thanks, my wife laught at me alot while I was building my cage. She said I was to picky about everything because I would measure about 20 times and check everything with a level about 10 times before and after I tacked it. Then I would do it again before I welded it solid. I would rather be safe than sorry.

No doubt...I thought and though about doing mine myself and then decided just to pay someone to do it.I got a heck of a deal too.

For anyone needing any chassis or cage work I can set you up with the guy who done mine

All I need to do is install my new ( oops ) nitrous kit:jester: .
I have a NX plate kit to put in and another switch ( hint hint) And try and find a place to certify my cage and get licensed. But I will be there running regardless. I will wait to pull the trigger on the second stage for the last pass if I dont get certified or licensed.

You dont need to get an 8 point certified.your car is legal right now to run 10.00 and you dont need a license either.

after you exceed 10.00 you will need a 10 point cage and a competition license.

How much and how long does it take might need one pretty soon.

You need a minimum of a 6 point bar to go 10.00...this is if you still have a stock firewall and stock floorpans.I went ahead and did my 10 point just in case...but mine has actually turned out to be a 12 point:D

That's cool just wondering. More than likely i'll go with an 8 point.

It used to be 11.99 for a 6-point bar, but was changed to 11.49 in 2005. The next cut-off is 9.99 for a 10-point cage. There's no rule for an 8-point as far as I know.
