what your guys opinions on granetelli weight jackers for rear control arms?

or just the straight plain looking round tubular LCA's and matchin uppers from them also?

I've heard (and seen) bad things from their control arms. Of course, the one I saw was a few years back, so maybe their quality control has improved since then.

. . . I still recommend the F5R units. ;)

:werd: There are a bunch of control arm brands out there. The only two I've ever seen have issues were:
1)Granatelli (Scothew's car) and
2)UPR (slvrbullit's car).

Plenty others to choose from IMO.

I dont like Granatelli's quality at all. I bought a coil over kit for the front and the quality was horable (SP).

My opinion: I wouldn't put Granatelli anything on my worst enemies car. The internet is chocked full of information about failed suspension components made by Granatelli errr... I mean chinese manufacturing.

Factory 5, Maximum Motorsports, or even Pro3i arms would be the best choices.

Funny you should mention that. I was going to rank Granatelli and UPR in the same category when I read the original post. Both companies sell junk in my opinion.

Everything Granatelli sells is a knockoff of some other company's product

I have a set you can try out. Need new bushings but they have no cracks or bends. I beat the crap out of them while they were on my svo. I got them real cheap off ebay a few years ago. Got better stuff under the car now. PM me if you want to see them.

Italian told me a while back that Shankin recommended a UPR k member that was mostly a track car. It is not recommended for a heavily used street car.

The older ones are much weaker than I had remember. Here are some pic's. Thin wall tube for the axle and not much bushing to hold them tight. These only had 4k or 5k on them. A few times down the track and some autocross on them.
Pay some good money on arms! These will be on ebay soon. I don't plan to use them. or sell them to anyone around here.

svo brown, are these arms better than stock? will they improve traction at all? and how much you want for them i need anything better than what i got.

But wouldn't the springs and struts effect that? they offer a drag spring and a street spring made by eibach (sp). if you get the drag spring, it may not be worth a crap on the street. Either way, mine should be fine b/c its not a DD, atleast i hope.

I like what I have on the svo now for sure. The stock svo lowers were good to me but the spring adjustment was a better fix for the rear. I have eibach springs on my svo also and really like the rear but the front don't work well with the koin's. On the control arms., I would weld on some metal on them before I put them on a car. But they did good. Just the bushings were junk from the start. Nylon would have been a better choice. stiff and hear all the road noise that way.

My comment is not based on drivability as much as it is the strength. Most tubular k-members cannot hold to the abuse of a mostly street driven car

grantelli is garbage, i ordered one part of theirs(adjustable uppers) and the heim joint looked like it had been welded by a retarded ray charles on crack and i got into an argument with JR's ass about it and he claimed they couldn't possibly be his :jerkit:

isn't granetelli the one that scott said was the crappiest thing he had ever put on his car and that their professionalism was atrocious
