I really want the stern reps that Wheel Replicas has out. Will a 17x10 fit the back of a fox gt vert? What size tire? 275 or a 285? Thanks
Dave

Probably not without mini-tubing it.

you can run a 275. thats what my drag radials are. but they are on 17x9

Yep, a 17x9" wheel fits great... but a 17x10" would be pushing it.

17x10's will work but you will have to remove the quad shocks. This would require the purchase of some aftermarket upper and lower control arms.

I do not recall the correct backspacing though.

EDIT... A 10" wheel would more than likely require at least 285 wide tire

It would also require a BFH for the inner fender and likely a removal of the tail pipes.

This car has 10" wheels on back and disc brakes I believe..

I noticed the tail pipes are missing though

Hmmm, I really want as much lip as possible, I have always been big on staggered wheels. I planned on doing some dumps under the car. I'll have to think long and hard on this one. May have to end up going 17x9 in the end.

A 10" wheel will fit on a fox and you can even keep the quad shocks...however it is all in the backspacing.

They make 10-10.5" bullitt and fr500 wheels with the specific backspacing for a Fox.You can run a 275 tire on them as well

I have almost convinced myself not to go deep dish in the back. I keep looking at the original Saleen cars with the stern wheels and for some reason I like the wheels better with a smaller lip. It's like the deep dish takes away from the classic look or something. I can't explain it. Like it takes away from how flat and broad the wheels look. So I guess I may go ahead and do x9's all around. Gonna order next week.

This is true, they will fit the problem is where will you be driving and do you intend on lowering much. Most foxes with 10 inch wheels in the rear are not lowered for one or like brian said they are tubed and what ever they do to tuck the wheels. You can though go as high as a 18 x 9, I know that for fact I ran 18 x 9 saleens on a fox gt i had before it was fine no problem. As far as dumps for a clean complete look, just judging from the looks of you past stang i do not believe you will be happy with them if you are looking for a total package type car. My personal opinion only. I like the set up of Brian's exhaust if I was to do one all over!

The only way to make the back end of a fox gt to look good is to add a cobra rear bumper cover and lx tailpipes

I agree not to crazy about that rear bumper cover, you can still see the tail pipes with a cobra bumper cover.

I just like the idea of the exhaust being out of sight. But I am convinced to go with the x9's all around. I think the x10 takes away from the original look. Usually I am all about lip(my last stang and my current bmw with 20x10's) but this time I want to do it a little different.
