I did a quick search and didnt come up with anything helpful. I am in need of a double hump trans crossmember since T-bird didnt come with one. A member on here has offered me one from a 94 but I wanted to make SURE that it would fit on a fox bodied car before I bought it.

Is it a 4 cylinder car?,I know the V-8 cars came with the double hump one,and I want to say the V-6 cars did too!:think:

pre 85 foxes did not come with them, including mustangs.

Yes, since they are on the same chassis the 94 crossmember should work

its a factory 255 V-8. I dont know why it has just a single hump. I remember when I took the exhaust off, it had a y-pipe that went to the passenger side of the crossmember that went into a big square cat that crosses back over to the driver side. I dont understand it either...


Really what I need to know is: Will a trans cross member from a 94 Mustang fit on the FOX chassis?

Ok,makes sense considering they had the single exhaust.Yeah,the SN-95 one is slightly different,but it will work!:nice:

ARGGH! I finally got a chance to work on it again and guess what... the 94-95 crossmember that I bought doesnt fit. It appears to be too wide. I would have to weld up the current mounting holes and drill new ones for it to work. On top of that, I cant find crossmember to frame/body bushings and there is a big gap there. Somebody sell me a fox crossmember please.

Fox crossmember is not going to do you any good because they look just like the one you bought.

The one off your t-bird looks very strange. I always thought that all foxbody mounting points and cross members were the same. Apparently the t-bird is its on breed

I know on the Foxes,the crossmembers were different for AOD's than they were for T-5's (IIRC),but the SN-95's were the same,they just use an offset bracket deal for the trans mount.That SN-95 one you have does'nt look like any I've ever seen on an SN!:think:

Tthe double hump that is sold in the Ford Racing catalog says it fits the 82-up Tbird. All the ones on ebay that are double hump look more like mine than the one I bought. Just to clarify the one on bottom in the pic is the one that came off of my Tbird, the top is the SN95 (94) version.

Oh ok. I thought the one on the bottom was the one you bought. I swear the one on Crimson Racing's sn95 looks just like one on a fox.

All the ones I've seen on SN's have been identical to the Fox's,I've never seen one like he's got before!:shrug:

I just ordered one off of Ebay for $34.95 shipped. Hopefully I can get the trans in next week when Im off again. I guess Ill put the waterpump and shorties on and rebuild the carb.

All the ones I've seen on SN's have been identical to the Fox's,I've never seen one like he's got before!:shrug:
Ask ujstlost, I bought it from him lol. I guess I need to find out what exactly it is so I can re-sell it lol. Any help??
