my son has a 94 mustang 6 cylinder. It has the 3 spoke design wheels.
he wants to put weld draglites on it. The car has 5 lug pattern. We already have the wheels and im not sure what size rear tire is needed to give it a good look. They are 8 inch rear wheels with 5.5 backspacing. I know 17's would be nice but we need to use what we already have. thanks, tony

Are they 15" drag lites? 8" wheels on the front as well?

275/50/15 comes out to a hair under 26" tall and almost 11" wide. That is a common size for the rear on 15x8 welds

Make sure the fronts are the right bakspace.I would go with a 275 50 15 for the rear.

I would actually do a 275/60 on a SN-95 Car.

It fills the wheel well up and you can still lower the car way down with it on there

what backspacing do you run on the front with a 15x4?

Not sure but a guy on here [89five0gt] bought some at ffw and would not clear his sn95 calipers,so we tried 1/4 in spacers and that made them stick out past the fender. These were weld pro stars.

I got those pro stars now Preston. I'll probably sell them too since i have no use for them right now.

not sure about the front back spacing. they came off anthony new's 10.5 outlaw mustang. the rear back spacing is 4.5 i believe.
whats the easyest way to lower the car if it sits too high. he wont be racing, he just wants it to look better. its a 6 banger

Look into FRPP 'B' springs

4.5 backspace is going to make them stick out further i would do some measuring before i bought tires.

The "easiest" way would be to cut the stock springs, but it would ride like a covered wagon. I second the "B" springs QWKSNKE suggested.

So is the BS 5.5" or 4.5"? Go with 275/50/15s. Do not use the 275/60/15s. They will fit, but they are a 28" tire. Being a V6, it has no balls as it is, you do not want a taller tire.

On the 94-98 front brakes, you will need to grind the rail on the face of the caliper as well as us a spacer. Or swith to 99+ brakes. They are 2 piston (vs single), and dont need any grinding, just a spacer. 5/16" is what I used I think. Wheels sat flush and looked pretty damn good IMO.

Make sure you get the proper shank style lug nuts, dont use the acorns!! Seen it before lol. For racing, you would need longer ARP or Moroso studs on the front but if he's not going to the track it will be fine. Just periodically check the torque b/c you dont have a lot of threads holding it on......

ok, ive got the wheels and tires on and the front sits really nice. i did have to grind on the caliper bracket and a little on the caliper but it fits good. the rear is going to need lowering about 2 inches. does anyone have a set of rear b springs for sale? all i could find was fronts and rears together in a kit. thanks
