turn key on for ten seconds turn off turn back on let horn beep and push the lock button

hmm, used to be cycle the key 8 times until the locks jumped up and down and hit the buttons. Some of the Lincolns (like the LS) that I messed with had to be programmed with the WDS.

Depends on the model,my wifes Explorer is 5x,where my friends F-350 is 8x.

Thanks, Eric! I was loath to pay $43 at Cooper chevy for the Trailblazer to have a second remote programmed when I had already paid $30 for the transmitter. Worked like a champ :nice:

Yeah same here! I rather cycle the switch instead of going thru the process of hooking up the IDS!

Ive been looking at getting a used pocket PC off of Ebay and saving up to get a VCM to be used as the PDS, I would love to be able to program keys again. I just have to come up with that chunk of change.
