Steeda carbon fiber CAI, tune, gears. I am on the fence on who I am going to get the tune from. It will either be Steeda or RWTD. I have one of my old nitrous kits that will go on it eventually. I want the car to run 12.5's on motor before the kit goes on

Don't forget about the driveshaft that is another .2 or .3 off your 1/4 time.

i have read some where about the steeda tune. seams to be the way to go with those cars.

The steeda tune adds 38 to 40 hp to the rear wheels, hard to believe but we called steeda to verify it was no misprint. Where as the ford motorsports only adds at best 25 hp.

yeah. They are pretty much guarantee a 38 rwhp gain with their tune and CAI

i ran 8.91 on stock tune and 8.61 on a superchips tune. done the test in the same day with back to back runs. waypastcrazy has a good write up on the steeda tunes.

it will get faster as the miles go up last at track on stock tune was 14.07 1/4 mile and 9.07 1/8 mile i guess everything just loosens up.

I think most of it was because of the heat and poor air quality last weekend. You could tell the computer was pulling timing on the top end because in 3rd gear it stopped pulling

Nothing against Doug (he is a great guy) but it seems he is to conservative. Since my first round of mods will be focusing on a n/a combination I want every ounce I can get.

I am seriously thinking of doing the SCT pro racer package so Brian and I can tune it. Can't stand the thought of paying somebody else to do something I can easily learn to do

He can be at times. But he tuned my Cobra and got a much better tune out of it and higher numbers than one of the top Cobra tuners did on mine.

Thanks Brad I will keep that in mind. I would prefer a local tuner if I decide not to do the proracer package.

Like I said, I know he has been conservative in the past, but he did me right for sure. Just throwing it out there for another option since I've used him recently.

Spoke with Whit today. Once I get the first combination together, I will talk to Doug or Alex :nice:

From what I've seen, Doug only seems to be too consevative on big power combos. It's better to be know for that than the dude who blows everybodys stuff up.:D

Update:
Car ran 13.80's or 13.90's last year still stock

Got a pic or two to add next week. :D
Finally threw a little money at the car this week. Got a small GT500 looking front spoiler getting painted and installed. Should get the car back Monday.

I have some 20" wheels picked out but don't want to spend the money. But the car does need tires anyway.....

I also ordered a shifter. This has got to be the longest I have EVER owned a mustang
with a stock shifter.
I also have some gears in my carport (for about a year) but have not forked out the money for a tuner yet..

Good news is, I finally have a little bit of cash in the bank. Bad news is, I don't want to spend a damn dime of it because it has been so tight around the household for the last year and a half......

Thanks. It actually would do better on a sticky tire. I loose at least a tenth due to tire spin when hitting 2nd gear. 3.31 gears suck for acceleration

I would love to. Car mods are just not in my financial ability for the next 2 years.

Well except for the Steeda CAI and tuner that I have on the way and the 3.73's sitting in the carport. That will be it for awhile though.

Sucks to be in a salary position now. No longer get massive amounts of o/t like I did when I was on the shop floor :tlash:
