I was gonna be replacing my rocker arms this weekend and put a set of Canton valve covers on. I don't know if it's just my luck, but I haven't always had great luck with fel-pro's. Anyone ever used trick-flow's?

I see a set of ford racing that are steel with the laminate. I'll give them a shot.

Fel-Pro makes them for Ford IIRC,they're called "Perma-Dry"

Noooooooooo. Perma-dry is the blue gaskets.

Like Bandit mentioned get the OEM ones. They are worth every penny because they can be reused over and over.

When I had my 93 Cobra I reused the OEM valve covers (metal ring with the black rubber) every time I had the covers off (which was at least 20 times in 100k miles) with no leaks EVER.

I have the blue ones, IIRC Felpro on the '85, they are reusable, same as Lee, on/off many times in a short time frame with no problems, they too have a steel liner in them.

I think that is the main thing, getting one that is reuseable, and cost more than $5.00, you get what you payfor.

Thank you so much for the advice guys!!! I ordered them online, because my local stealerships either don't have them, or have an 800% mark-up. I also found part of the problem with the leaks - the driver's side cover has a small hair-line crack in it! I guess that's another thing I could post on "Things you broke"!!!

The permadry's I ahve seen are the blue neoprene gasket. While I recommend that for the oil pan they do not seem to work well for the valve covers
