Funny that when I change the graph to RPM instead of mph on the x-axis it drops my peak hp and tq below what it says on the print out I have. :hmm:

Nice numbers! :metal: Was this in a Dynojet or Mustang Dyno?

This was at Walker Dyno Tune on their Dynojet.

Those ARE really good #'s. I got 414rwhp with C/B, K&N FIPK II, and custom tune on Dynojet in Montgomery. Not much more than yours....bet you could pick up a good bit more with some tuning.

Yeah my car really needs to be tuned. It's running pig rich on the top end. It wreaks of raw gas when I get on it - even if I'm just revving it up in neutral. I think with a tune and the ProChamber (already installed, but no dyno numbers since then) 420 - 430 rwhp wouldn't be out of the question.

TheJeanyus

New numbers: 441.6 rwhp, 489.8 rwtq.

Gains of up to 80 hp and 120 ft. lbs. in some areas, but it's still way rich (richer than 10.0) up top. No graphs right now because Blake is having email problems.

Not :bs:. There's a lot left to be had with tuning. ;) And it's only 6 psi more. I saw 10 on the stock pulley the other night.

TheJeanyus
12-21-2005, 07:28 PM
Oh BTW Lee...when you told me all that stuff about how different 9 psi and 14 psi are I thought you were full of it. Until now that is. It really does feel like the front end is raising up off the ground. :metal:

Yes there is more left in the tune, from what he was saying it was running real fat......and you have to remember he has a HEATON so more boost=much much more heat:jester:

nope. I wasn't bs'ing about it. Its like 9-10 psi is a magical warp speed holy s$%t boost number. 9 psi in 4th gear feels really good. 14 psi in 4th gear is like...Oh my god! We keep this cold weather up and I will eventually see what 16 psi in 4th feels like as long as the block doesn't split right down the intake valley :jester:

 Hope you didn't just curse yourself. I want to see that car up and running again soon because I want another shot from a 50-60 roll. I'll probably still lose, but I bet it's a whole lot closer now that I have 100+ more torque. :metal:

it will be running tomorrow afternoon. After another tuning trip to the dyno, I'll let you try to keep up again. You can't cheat this time though. I have to know we are going to race instead of it being a surprise

:nice:

I don't remember "cheating". If I remember correctly, you took off before I did. Matt counted down over the radio, so I don't know how you wouldn't know we were racing. Not to mention my car in 3rd gear at 70 mph is loud enough it should have vibrated your teeth loose sitting beside you.

Lee make sure your WOT timing is around 18-19 degrees. At least to you get a good pull on the dyno.
I can not remember what it was in the last datalog that you sent to me....

Yep, I couldn't believe that they held in 2nd. It was pulling like hell, and the tires just held on. Blake thinks I'll be able to get high 1.7 60's on them, but I'm not that optimistic.

Yeah, but you guys don't have IRS. Don't get me wrong, I'll be really happy if it does hook that good. Heck I might even make it into the 11s.

It's just a Predator pulley tune with a little tweaking (leaned out as far as it would go, added a little timing). If I can save up some cash and get a good tune, I hope to see 460+.

Good deal, I would give Ed or James a call @ RWTD they can send you a tune for about $100 or less. You will see 460+ for sure and even a tad more torque...get that timing up to 23 and AFR at 12 flat and let her rip, you can beat on that thing with Amoco 93 all day long they have tunning these things down to a science.

QWKSNKE

But you have to remember the 03/04 cobras have low compression (8.5:1) so they can run more timing.

Yea most tuners I know think that 23* is the sweet spot for these cars. However, the 24# guys are running about 19*.

Gen 2 Lightnings are 8.4:1 and 19 degrees timing is a LOT on one of those. Speaking of Pump Gas only, race fuel you can kick it up a little more.

That's not alot of timing for that compression, the usual is 22-24 degrees on cobras but the lightnings don't have forged rods so they have to be more careful.

What kind of milage are you still able to get on the highway with the tune (if you've had a chance to check yet)?
