you are going to have to try hard to keep up with this competition :metal::metal:

cam change as soon as I get the car to florida and then theres the two stages of the good stuff. Nothing beats good hp and torque in a car that weights 29xx with my 280 fat ass in it

Nice Doug. The engine looks GREAT.

appreciate the good words. I need to get a picture of the finished engine bay. The wires from the solenoids and wot switch run down the valve cover. I also have the electric fan wires running down the inner fender and under the core support. Only wires you see are the plug wires and the wires running down the side of the intake with the coil wire that run into the car, but they are black sitting against a black valve cover. Spent days making sure it would be clean and uncluttered

Does anyone in the bham area want to earn a little extra money, or some parts I might have laying around? Where the car is at now, it doesnt seem like its going to get a lot of attention.......

Needs some basic wiring finished. I cant pay a lot, I do have some parts I can give, if anyones interested just shoot me a line, if not its cool. Just tired of hearing I havent gotten to it yet.

Who's got the car (where is it?) and what needs done?

86nu

its at FT performance in gardendale. Most if not all the wires front to back are ran, they need to be terminated at the taylor switch box, a battery cable from the trunk to the solenoid needs to be run, and the rear drums need to be put together, they are empty right now. Maybe the rear brake lines, dont remember

I know where the car is, I've seen it. I'll leave it to the OP if he wishes to relinquish that info, and DAMN it is a nice example of a 4 eyed fox. Doug what kind of wiring does it need? I've done some wiring on other cars (never a mustang) and depending on what parts you want to trade for I can work on it on weekends and the days I'm not at work (usually Tuesdays and half a day on Thursdays) Drop me a pm on what you need and we'll talk.

::edit:: damn he posted while I was typing. If you tell TJ its ok I wouldn't mind taking a look to see if I can get you situated. I got a lot of free time these days.

Tell you what, I'll drop by the shop tomorrow and take a look at it and see what I can do for you, IF I dont get called in early. Brake lines are easy to run, the wiring of the batt to the solenoid isn't too terribly difficult. The teminating to the talor switch box.. well I've never worked w/one before but it can't be THAT hard.

86nu
01-28-2009, 03:44 PM
if you mess with the brakes, youll have to pick up a rear line and some hard lines, prob a junction block too, id be mroe than happy to pay you back for that stuff.

Not a problem, I'll take a look at it tomorrow and get back w/you on what I can do for you.

eh works slow so it shouldn't be an issue. The only thing is I need you to clear it w/TJ as its his shop. (don't know if he want's anyone wrenching at his shop) In which case I'd have to figure out how to get it home to my garage.
DISCLAIMER
Warning I'm nothing more than a shade tree at best. I do my own work on my own cars, and in the 20 some odd years I've been turning wrenches and throwing/cursing tools I've yet to mess anything up to the point I can't fix it. I know my limitations and have no problem stopping before I get in over my head.

ill tell him/let him know, wont be a big deal, i did all my work that i could do up there in the back. I

Might not be able to get up there today. One of my drivers called me early as hell this morning (hence why I'm up at the buttcrack of dawn as opposed to sleeping in my comfy bed for another hour) telling me his truck is "acting up" which means that I may have to go get an enterprise truck and go swap out freight. Nothing definate yet but I may not get to spend much time looking it over today. I will however give it my best shot to get up there and look it over. I'm going to pm you a phone number, its my work/personal cell. Call me so I can lock your phone number in for ease of contact.

Yeah I wasn't able to get by there today, however as stated in my pm I'm sure to get by there tomorrow. It's only a hop skip & a jump from my house to Fultondale where the car is. So, I'll get by tomorrow and take a look and see what I can do for ya. Just remember if I ever get lined up against you I get a heard start due to me having to work on the car LOL :D
