i have the factory valve springs in a relativly new rebuilt motor the motor is supposed to have an f303 cam in a carburated 302 it really doesnt sound like it it redlines and pulls fine so its not the timing making it idle higher/smoother i know if the valve springs are factory they are probably worn out or weaker than they should be my question is should i mess with it or leav it alone and would i be able to change them out with the heads on the car and just drop them in any motor ive ever built the machin shop redid and assembled the heads to not much exspirence here lol.

thanks all!

You can swap the springs with the heads on,you just need an air holder, and an overhead valve spring compressor.:nice:
