Getting everything together to start on my modfox project. I was going to do a 2v motor but went ahead and bought a 4v drivetrain. I like the cobras more anyways :jester:. The plan is to use all the drivetrain from the parts car and put it in the fox. I believe I'm going to do the irs but may change my mind before then.

Yeah i've never dealt with big blocks or any other motor for that fact lol. Not looking foward to the wiring but it should be easy enough

Not looking foward to the wiring but it should be easy enoughjust pay attention to the details.if they ever make a mod motor big block want nothing on the planet catch it but they will outlaw it before it hits the street.it still gona be sweet build for ya tho. What's your time frame roughly.

Hopefully once I get started I can finish it in a couple months. I'm still collecting parts now and waiting to finish the 03 before tearing the 99 apart. Thinking about doing the flordia 5.0 gauge cluster to make the gauges easy.

Nothing like having 2 projects going on at the same time. Then getting ready for a third that dwarfs the first two.
Some nice rides you have!!!!

I would have never guessed that was a 4 banger. That thing looks good. It will definitely be a fun car once you get done.

how are the seats in the cobra? If things go the way I want them to, I'll be needing some new ones for a 91 fox body.

What K-member are you planning on using, stock or aftermarket? AJE and TeamZ both make a nice one for the swap.

I swaped the AJE for the TeamZ, it was more turbo kit friendlier than the AJE was.

Still have the aje laying around?

sccapri
01-30-2009, 06:19 PM
No, it went to NC. but I'll keep an eye out for one. If you get a AJE get a newer one with the bolt on motor mounts. TeamZ has a nice few options on theirs too.

Awesome project, Mike!

Thinking about doing the flordia 5.0 gauge cluster to make the gauges easy.

Have you looked at the ones from MC Machine? When I bought mine, they were only like $5 more and they are made out of aluminum instead of the cheap plastic plates that Florida50 uses. Also, the idiot lights, turn signal, and high-beam indicators are also macined into the plate -- nicer than the plain colored bulbs that the FL50 ones use.

If you ever want to see one in person, let me know and I'll meet up with you some day.
