you could buy a set of trick flow heads or afrs or something of the sort. i mean you could get a used set for a reasonable price than you can have all of the good stuff.

You can get the screw in studs, but you have to get the mounting bosses on the heads milled down a bit.

yeah you are probably looking at least $100 to get your heads setup for stud mount rockers

crane cams make a kit that says no milling required srcrew in and bolt on and go

you'd be wise to keep them. what heads do you have? If they are stock, get rid of them and just go with pedestal, until you get a set of heads that are already setup for studs

I have a pair of D0OE heads I'd sell. They are a little nicer than E7's and already have 3/8" studs and guideplates. Are your rockers for 3/8 or 7/16 studs? I also have a set of 7/16" studs and guideplates for sale...but they might not work on your heads.

They're still on an engine but I'll pull them if you want them. I'd throw in the ARP head bolts (you can reuse them)... They already have studs (3/8"), guideplates, and a 1.94/1.60 valve arrangement. They take a different plug than most other 5.0L heads and you must install the roller lifters before bolting the heads down...as the front and back lifters won't go down the lifterbore with these heads in place. They are from the time of shorter-flat tappets.
Theyr'e a decent head. I'd like to see $250, but I could maybe work a little with you. No E7's though; I already have my share of those.

Yea. They went right on my 87. I will throw in the pushrods too...they're hardened Comp Cams pieces. :nice:
