well my wifes oldest boy is 13 and wants to start learning about cars and wants to build him one for when he gets old enough. i picked this 79 up from waypastcrazy today. i dont really know what running gear we are going with yet. i think we are going to focus on the body and paint right now. besides this will be a 2 year project. here is a few pics.

I personally like it when underhood is same color. U should put a big block in it I have block crank rods pistons rings heads and gaskets. And an xtra solid roller 285@50 721 lift cam for it. Lmao!

The 351W is a good plan.
The "SN92" Paxton is not. :( (very old technology)

edit: What did you do with the 17" wheels that you took off of it?

Dale McPeters
05-25-2010, 07:39 AM
I agree with Matt the SN92-Paxton is not a good idea...
You would be better off with a newer style Paxton or Vortech.
Such as a 1220 with Si impeller or a Vortech V2-Si real street kit or even a V1-S trim. They won't cause as much IAT heating issues as the older paxton design and the impeller speed limits will be a lot better on a newer unit. :D

I got the wheels u need them?Well... I always liked them, but not really enough to buy them. In a nutshell: If you're giving them away, yes. If not, no. :D

I will take a 1000 and you pick them up. Yall do know this car has changed hands again. Dont think it has the greg welds on it anymore.
