Your car isn't fast enough to need brakes. :jester: Sorry, someone had to say it....

A Cobra brake upgrade would probably be easy. Hang out on SVTPerformance and wait for someone who is upgrading to sell their stock stuff? Otherwise I'm sure Baer makes a nice kit for your car.

Pretty sure you cannot do a caliper only mod on your car. Like Jeanyus mentioned, a 13" upgrade would be easy and worthwhile

guess i will stay stock

You can still run skinnies on the front. You just have to use a spacer.

i dont like the front wheels stuck out in the front.

Have you seen rtusnake's car with the skinnies on it? He's running a big ass spacer so the skinnies clear the brakes.

yea i have seen it. i had to use 1/4" spacers with my weld drag lites and did not like the way they stuck out. my greg welds clear so the wheels tuck in under the car.

How about some slotted rotors and good pads, like EBC,or Hawk?

Could you just put Cobra calipers and leave the stock rotors?

Now that I think about it, I doubt it will fit.

I believe the gt's already have the dual piston calipers correct? You can buy some 17" alumastars and not have to worry about spacers :jester:

Yeah, the '99 was the first year for the PBR dual piston calipers.

careful... it might already have a hole in the floorboard. :poke: :jester:

Put a good set of pads and rotors on it. You get what you pay for.

Don't forget, Joe: The more agressive the pad the hotter it has to be to work. If you go too agressive you won't be able to hold the car with the line lock at the track.
