yep..repro wheels are finally hitting production after being in the making for over 2 years. They will be available in chrome, polished, black, and satin. Wheels are being made for the fox GT/LX offset and should have the correct cobra offset in a month. They also have the option of being oem sized
(17x7.5) and + 1 sized (17 x 8.5)

They are suppose to make them in anthracite also. Interesting to see what they will look like. 5-lug is going to be available too.

5-lug would be cool. That way you could upgrade stuff on the car and still keep the look of the 93 you like so much.

Lee - are you sure the Cobra offset is going to be available. I sent Jeffo a PM, and he said they "might" do the Cobra offset, but I got the feeling it would be after the 5.0 offsets were done first...

I thought I read in that thread where they would be.

I am thinking now that I since I only want 2 for the rear, I may be better off going with the 5.0 offset on the 1 inch wider wheel. Should locate the wheels just right against the rear 1/4

I dunno, Lee. I was thinking that somewhere in that 17+page thread that the 5.0 offset was already making it tight on a 5.0, and that our extra 3/4" would simply push the 5.0 set out too far.

However, I'll let you be the test subject on that... :D

If the 5.0 set would work, that's what I'd do in a heartbeat...

I have had Italian's cobra r's on my 93 2 times and with the offset of the wheel they actually looked good. I'll see if he wants to a test swap this weekend and get some pics of it.

On second thought there is some pics around somewhere with those wheels on my car. Do you have them on your puter Brian?

I think I have one or two at home, but as I remember, they aren't at a very good angle or lighting. I'll check tonight if I remeber. :nice:

Just out of curiosity, what causes a cobra to have a different offset from a regular fox?

Rear disc brakes.

Rear disc brakes.

Here is the straight poop on these wheels :D

The wheels are only available in 17X8.5".....the polished and chrome arrived in the warehouse yesterday....the other colors are a week or two out.

The offset is NOT for a real Cobra...these are designed to fit regular Mustangs so they will sit out too far on the Cobras....The offset on these wheels is 26mm.

They come in Chrome, black, anthracite and silver. As far as my price list goes it appears that they do not come with center caps but I am awaiting a call back right now to confirm or deny that....but center caps ARE or should be available seperately.

You should also add that this first shipment that has come in is chrome and polished, in four lug. I am 99% positive that centers are included. Jeffo posted new pix up today in the corral.net thread.

yes I know. They should work fine on the rear of a cobra :D

Doh! Well, at least add the 4 lug part, as 5 lug is also coming... :D

And I'm guessing the other colors are prob. more like a month out - they got on the boat about the time the other's got to California, and it took a month to get here on the boat.

I hope you are right, Lee. That way I don't have to wait on the cobra offset. However, I'm convinced they will stick out too far... :(

IF it is cheaper to buy a full set instead of two sets of two (you buy two and me buy two), then I might just go in half with you. You take a left and right one, and I'll take a left and right one. :D

Hey. Don't worry about the offset.

There is a machine shop down the street.:D

But I won't do it unless the offset looks like doo.

Yeah, I've got a local machine shop as well. Just hoping to not have to go that route...

An update from Jeffo on the corral.net thread:

Hi,
1) I have no immediate plans to make a different offset.
2) As far as fit on the 93 Cobra, I believe they will stick out, but if there is one locally we may test fit.
This is as up front as I can be.

When you are ready just drop me a line....I am sure I can take care of you and you won't have to buy 2 sets...I am sure I can order ones and two's if desired ;)

Very cool, I'll definitely take you up on that. In fact, how about getting me a price on a single LH and single RH, silver, with and without centers?

I may just plan on a little trip to a machine shop.
