If it is a street car and you wont run more then 150hp shot of nitrous the best intake is the Performer RPM Airgap period. I ran one then changed to a Victor jr so I could spray more. On the motor I lost over a tenth et on motor.
Reading all the articles the two are close on hp up to like 6000 then the single plane gains about 10hp. But down low the torque gain is huge with the dual plane, thats where youll feel the difference.

Victor jr would be better suited to a 331-347 IMO...but it would work. A nice dual plane would also get you where you want to be and still have a little grunt down-low. Look at some of the stuff from Weiand and Edelbrock.

All your car needs is a Performer RPM Air Gap and that is it.And nothing more than a 650 Carb

The victor jr is way to big for whats done to the motor maybe if you had a stroker or a 351 motor. like what everybody else said air gap should do just fine.

No, it wasn't mine. The guy you bought the car from was my friend. I helped do a little to the car not much. I started the 5 lug conversion from the old coupe he had to that hatch, but i didn't finish it for him though. Also that 4 banger transmission that use to be in it came from me or well the internals did and he changed the housing and all on it cause the one i sold him had a broken bolt hole off of it. He bought the car close to my house and he put alot of work into it. If there's something i can answer for you i'll try. Just let me know man. LOL

cool small world huh thanks for that ive already worked most of the bugs out of the car and hopefully no more will come lol do you know where the motor came from he kept saying one of his freinds rebuilt it and i would like to know weather i neeed to start looking for a motor or not nothing is wrong with it now but ya know how some "rebuilt" motors are

I can't remember his name. I do know that he works at budweiser. The motor should be fine if he built it. He's pretty good with mustangs and such.

JMHO
The Vic Jr and the Parker Funnel Web are way too much intake for what youre doing, I would get a Weiand X-CELerator. I have run them for years and they perform great on an engine that needs a single plane intake but still streetable, If I remember right they are designed to pull from 1500-6500 and work great with nitrous.
