Whats it doing exactly? 4h and 5th have nothing in common, 4th is on the input shaft and 5th is in the tail housing. Do they grind and just wont go in when running or will they not clear the neutral gate?

My guess would be a broken shift fork.

Fix the post but not the t5? Gear shifter could be the problem. Take it off and check there first.

If the shifter was bad, he would likely be having problems with all gears, not just the 3-4.

Yes, it's relatively easy if you know what about manual transmissions.

One question, does the shifter handle move all the way and just doesn't engage 3rd or 4th, or does the shifter handle not travel at all and just stops?

I am in on the broke shift fork since it's 3rd and 4th.
