Has anyone ever used a hypertec handheld tuner? I have been useing one for a little while and I just don't like it. I am useing it on my 05 F150 running the 93 tune and when its cold it wants to detinate (SP) I run nothing but 93 in my truck and add octane boost to make it a little bit stronger but it still wants to detinate once in a while. I am probably going to order a sct tuner I juess? What do ya think.. Thanks Steven

Any other mods? I hear the computers in the 05+ trucks are a little more sensitive to mods. I'd recommend putting it on a dyno and getting a custom tune for it.

I have a K&N cold air intake and a cat back on it and thats it. I mainly wanted a tune for pulling my trailor and so I can adjust my speedo when my wheels come in.

I have the exact mods on my 04. I use a Superchips programmer. Its alright I guess. I run it on the 93 tune daily and Safetow when I pull my bass boat, I can tell a difference when I put it on safetow. I mainly got it to pull my boat and to calibrate for my 20's.

I use 93 all the time as well. I have noticed if I go to a gas station that only has 92 octane it will run like crudd until I would put some octane booster in the gas to up the octane. It still would not run great but better than before. I ordered some 20's for mine but they have not been delivered yet. What size tire did you go with on your truck? Is yours a 2 wheel drive or 4? Thanks Steven

I can take some pics of my tires up close tonight at different angles if you'd like to see the width etc.

I think I am going to go with 275-55-20. Have you thought about putting shackles on your truck to lower the rearend? I put them on my truck and it made a big difference in the appearance department. When my wheels and hood gets done I will post a few pics in the truck thread.

I thought about putting the leveling kit on it. did you do it yourself or did you take it some where? I'm interested in what all you had done to lower the rearend.
