:hmm: I'm betting his piston to valve clearance not being checked with that setup might bite him in the ass.

sounds like he is building a bomb to me. so while he may beat you down the track I would think your set up will be around racing longer then his will.

Might be "close enough" on the balance. :D

Seriously though, a 12:1 compression 306 with a 750dp and X303 cam would be a real rocket...especially with a 200-hit. Good luck!

I know a good working motor means alot but what kind of suspension are you running? If you set it up right and can leave on him good enough you can out run alot of people with alot more HP. Suspension means alot guessing you are going to run a 1/8 mile right?

SlowJoe
05-18-2009, 05:54 PM
yea 1/8 mile. right now it is stock but we are working on that

Compression definitely gives an advantage if the motor runs right

And if he's running the right fuel. I don't see it running on pump gas.

waypastcrazy

Compression definitely gives an advantage if the motor runs rightnot if the dome interferes with flame front which happens with most dome pistons unless the engine has a custom ground cam and or the the trough cut across the dome like diamond does.I learned that one the hard way lol.
Just pissing in the wind grabbing an off shelf cam and throwing domes at a motor unless it has been researched lo

waypastcrazy
05-18-2009, 08:24 PM
But yea compression is a good advantage. Domes are just not the idea way to get it.

If you are looking for a solid roller I have one. Its the cam that came out of my motor when I ordered my custom nos cam. It has a 110 lobe seperation but I dont remember off the top of my head the rest. I do have the cam card at home so let me know.
