This has been puzzling me for a while. When the car heats up to normal temp, it does not won't to start. Just as if the timing was high. This has been going on since I refreshed my motor. I have not changed anything engine wise. I've had the distributor stabbed 3 times by 3 different people so I don't think its the timing and Preston has set the timing by a timing light. But I have moved it by hand dropping the time to see if it would help since then. I've cleaned the mass air meter, new starter, battery, and checked my grounds. I have not had any codes pulled yet. I'm about to drop it off at some shop b/c I am running out of things to try. Any Moody/Leeds shops that are dependable/trustable? thanks

What kind of starter is on your car?

Mine had the original starter and it did the same thing until I swapped to a 93 mini style starter and it quit everything

TFI module? Try another one and see if that doesn't fix it.

or starter solenoid.... fords tend to poop them out really bad. and if you dont have the teeth on the right ones it will **** it up a bit no matter how much timing you add or take away. it has to be right on due to the hall sensor

Sounds like the starter to me. The stock style big starters are junk. Take it off and go throw it in the river and get you one of the mini starters. You will be much happier.

I have tried that too. I got one from 92lx to see if it would help.
