Well, as I stated before, this car isn't really as much of a project as it is a fulfillment of a long time desire.
With that being said, I thought this section would be as good as any for posting pics and updates on anything
I may decide to change in the future.

So far, I have picked up an SCT handheldfor fine-tuning (with OBDII logging software) and a billet power steering
bracket to replace the failure-prone cast one.

Here is the car:

Car looks great. How much do the springs lower it?

I believe it's 1-inch in front and 3/4-inch in back. I already got 'em, so might as well use 'em.

Car looks nice.
Have you raised a little hell and annoyed the neighbors some?:jester:

Well, I did put a Borla Cat-back on it, which has straight-thru resonators and no mufflers.
It certainly makes some noise...but I don't raise hell with it. http://anchoredbygrace.com/smileys/tongue1.gif

I still need to get a WB02 sensor and then I can log/tune the car.

Forgot to update this... I did the charity dyno event a while back at Henson's in Hueytown. Car put down 433rwhp and something like 435 torque.

You have wb02 now or still factory tune?

Stock tune. Car was very rich on dyno, so should have another 10-15 in it pretty easily. Sad thing is I already have the SCT package for it, just need to get off my duff and get a WBO2 and do some tuning. I don't hardly drive it, so it's not always on my mind...

I still have this car, just haven't driven it in a while for two reasons:

1)One of the 3pc wheels was leaking so I disassembled, helicoiled threads, and resealed it.
2)The radiator sprung a leak and I decided to upgrade, which meant a lead-time.

Got this Howe Racing (http://www.howeracing.com/c-450-racing-custom-aluminum-radiators.aspx) radiator... Howe makes stock-car racing components and has a custom "drop-in" radiator which is better priced than the Ron Davis, Griffin, etc.. popular brands. Nice quality too:

Also ordered OEM hoses for the car, but got the wrong ones, so I'm in the process of swapping them out for silicone hoses instead.

Hope to be driving this car by next week.

Damn nice car dude. I'd love to own one but it certainly crosses the practicality threshold for me (no back seat) so the wife would never allow it.

Certainly a timeless design though. Even the OG viper will always be cool as hell and turn heads.

Have had this car for 6+ years and still love everything about it.

These earlier Vipers have a notoriously bad bias toward the large front brakes, and can lock up under hard braking (no ABS until 2001), so I added a rear brake upgrade this past weekend. Couldn't justify an aftermarket big brake kit or cutting/grinding the rear spindles for late model rears, but there's a company that takes OEM calipers and puts larger pistons in them. I heard great reviews and it fixes the braking imbalance on the cars, so I bought them. Nothing fancy, but hoping it gives a little better feel.
