Kumho KH-11's (don't laugh), these are Kumho's newest tires for Sport Compact's and they where right at the top of the tire tests done by the Tire Rack so I gave them a try. At $87.00 ea it was a No-Brainer. I think they are a good looking tire and they are rated very high in the test for wet traction and dry traction. In the real world they are 10x better than the Continental's that came on the car, in the rain and the dry and they are also more quiet. I would highly recommend them to anyone that has a Sport Compact.

Im really thinking about going with Kumhos on my C5 too. You can pick up a Kumho MX EMT tire for around $170ish each for my fronts and $230ish for the rear. Thats pretty good for a set of runflats.

87 each for those? what size? I paid like 76 for the 712s. But they suck.

Yes, and the Kumho's are so much better. This is how Tire Rack rated them on a scale of 1-10:

$87.00--Kumho KH11-Dry-8.7/Wet-8.3/Hydroplane Resis.-8.2/Cornering-8.4/Steering-8.3/Ride-8.1/Noise-7.8/TreadWear-7.7/Avg-8.1875

$110.00-Continentals-Dry-7.8/Wet-6.4/HydroplaneResis.-6.2/Cornering-7.4/Steering-7.4/Ride-6.4/Noise-5.8/TreadWear-5.5/Avg.-6.6125

The best tire tested Averaged about a 8.8 and cost $230.00

We got them from either Discount Tire Direct or the Tire Rack. They are about half worn at 15,000 miles, so I think we will get 30,000 out of them! They are excellent in the rain for sure!!
