My 92 coupe needs a trans and I know where I can get a 93 lt1 6 speed real cheap. I have heard of people putting them into fords. Does anybody know what all I would have to change? I know the bellhousing but what else? And would it be worth it?

driveshaft, bellhousing, crossmember, etc.

Same if you install a cobra 6-speed. They are both t-56's

D&D motorsports.

Pretty sure you will need a clutch fork as well

Are the input shafts the same? I know the GM T-5 and Ford T-5 had different input shafts, and IIRC, output shafts. Different splines.

arn't the F-body transmissions at a 15 degree rotated angle or something to allow the torque arm to be bolted on?

Could be. I didn't think about that

Gm trans are 26 spline input and hydraulic clutch. That's the main two differences off the top of my head. Not worth it to swap over imo

Thanks guys but the deal fell through so I wont be swapping it over. Lol. I was going to get a parts car 93 LT1 car and I decided against it. But thanks again!
