Dash has to come out, you will need to go to church that following sunday after replacing the heater core as well.

you don't have to take the dash out... but it beats cutting out the firewall lol.

$200-$250 would be a no brainer

I'm one of the worlds worst about not wanting to pay somebody to do things I could potentially do myself, but after assisting with the heater core R&R on an Explorer/Ranger when I was still at the dealership, I'm not looking forward to doing one ever again. Now, on my 89 Ranger, its a no brainer... remove some screws and the hoses and slide it out of the bottom of the dash. $300 is a lot better than the $500 I was told when I was getting trade offers for cars with busted heater cores.

My 91 F-150 was a twenty minute job. Too bad that access panel didn't carry over to the mustang :(
