My 2001 has a intermittent idle issue.........Sometimes it idles about 200rpm low and sometimes it idles normal.........

Lasts sometimes 2 or 3 days and then clears up

Check the voltage on the tps, make sure the iac is working or could be a dirty maf

throttle body cleaned.......maf cleaned..........

still low idle..........

maf cleaned........

iac cleaned.......

still low idle...............


any other suggestions folks?

You reset puter after cleaning them?
Corroded plug connector or pin?
Have tested coolant temp sensor?
alternater putting load on engine(bad or sticking regulator)? or battery going south or draining down after sitting? battery terminals or connections?
belt slipping?
Idk just a few to check.

Just curious, what is the battery voltage with the engine running? I'm assuming you have a multimeter here... I have seen some idle issues related to a dying battery that was only holding about 12.9 volts with the engine running. Should be 13.4-14.4 volts at idle.

I'll have to hit a parts store and have them check it to see.

Might as well have them pull the codes too.
