Well I've ordered all of my parts to get my powerglide in the mustang but still will need one major part. Does anyone know who I can get to build a driveshaft for a reasonable price? I thought about Birmingham spring but don't know if they do that.

Land Machine in White Plains (here in Anniston) does good work. They're pretty cheap too. I used them to shorten and weld up my aluminum Explorer driveshaft for the coupe.

I've had Birmingham Spring make driveshafts before. They do good work; I recommend them. :nice:

What size and material would you suggest? I think I have a stock steel shaft out of a automatic fox laying around or should I go bigger?

Stock may not be long enough for a glide... not sure.

I would just get a 3" and be done with it. Chromoly would be nice, but I don't know if it needs to be so strong. Mild steel DOM (drawn over mandrel) would probably be strong enough. Check with them... they might have a recommendation.

+1 I used to have some work done for my customers when I lived there
