Well this little beauty replaced my ornge/blk coupe. I hope to make it as fast but i dont know we'll see. Heres a couple of pics of when i got it and a few things i've got done already.

When i got it it had the flathead v8 with 3 speed trans,enclosed drive rear and original straight axle front. I have since...
installed a lucky7 4in drop straight axle front end with disc brakes
an 8.8 31spl explorer rear
cut out some of the x frame so my tko will fit
and still try to come up with a cool flat color to paint it....
this is my first old car restoration project and i'm stoked about it:metal:

got the explorer rear welded in and ready to start the 4 link mock up...in the pic the concrete is not level the plan is for the car to sit 3/4in lower in the rear than the front with 2 1/2in zoomies comin out behind the front tires with my 1 chamber flowmasters :jester:

Well got the 4 link setup from speedway motors installed(pretty in depth process). Got the motor mounts made and tacked in and got the front axle brackets made for the hairpins. its hot and i'm tired goin to lonestar!!!!:jester:

got the body off now time to finish welding, box some frame, sandblast and paint frame 2004 lambo orange(same color as the coupe:banana:)also gonna install new body bushings, paint bottom of body and sit the body back on...woohoo time to drive....almost.... no joke i have 9 weeks to complete this project for shades of the past in gatl.burg so far i've done everything myself with a little help from dad. thx dad

Lookin' good man! Wish I was making that kind of quick progress on my '56 F100! :D

Yeah, my interests have really been moving from late models to classics over the last few years. That's why I'm actually getting ready to sell the 03 cobra. Just don't have the interest anymore. ;)

thx man..its actually been the hardest most in depth process i've ever attempted but i'm learning. it looked impossible after i brought it home the more i looked at it lol.
Today i did some more welding bracing and removed the old wiring and brake lines.. ready to box in the X frame make trans mount and mount vega power steering box...plans are to have the frame painted and body back on in 3 weekends maybe

Got the coilovers mounted got the x frame boxed in
got the clutch linkage made so almost ready to disassemble and paint the frame this weekend
