I have found a 2.3 fox for sale that needs the trans rebuilt. Any idea on how much the parts are for a DIY build?

Need to get my daughter in a car so she can get a job :D

Call Transtar in Birmingham. They sell rebuild kits there.

There for a while, you could barely buy a take-out 2.3 that they weren't forcing you to take the auto trans too... it would prob be just as cheap to buy one off of craigslist.

Meh. Went and looked at the car. It would make an excellent car for a v-8 transplant but I think for what I want it would cost to much in the long run.

Let me know if anyone is looking. It's an 89 hatch for 550. Must be trailered home. Straight car. Decent paint and interior

Preston, since you always come across good deals, let me know if you come across something cheap that we can put my daughter in.

Not set on anything really. I don't have much money to spend. Maybe 1k. Lol of course that may change. Just put tires on the wife's car and it needs brakes. So I have to take care of that first

Look on craigslist. I found some nice cherokee's for around a 1000.00 or so.

1000.00 or trade. No pics.

I had a wild hair about getting me a 4wd and it didn't last long. lol I still want one but would rather spend my money on my 67 Mustang to get it running right now. So just passing a long some of the Jeeps I found.

There's a Cherokee right down the road from my house, BUT, it's right hand drive (mail carrier truck) which would be pretty useless. I'll keep my eyes open though.
