Not sure what years, but they're still cast and not the steel cranks in the Cobras

"Winsors" 99's and 2000's

Tacbear is correct. The winsor motors had the 8bolt flywheel with a cast crank so you could easily swap in an cobra forged crank and everything would bolt right up.

Curious, is there an easy way to tell which you have without pulling it out?
I've wondered what I have.. its a 2000, with a warranty replaced block...

probably a romeo if they replaced the motor. Im sure they just replaced the whole longblock.

Is the oil fill on the passenger or drivers? Also if you ever have the intake off, you should be able to see a W in the valley on either the block or the heads (i cant remember which) if its a windsor.

I thought you could look at the VIN and tell?

I could be wrong but I always thought 99 and up GT's had 8 bolt flywheels, not just the windsors.
Bob

Edit..Looks like I'm wrong, just checked, 99-00 windsors only from what I can tell.

I believe the romeos and windsors also had a different number of valve cover bolts. Also I think the cam gears were different between the two. Some were press on, the others were bolt on.

'99 to early 2000 GT's had an 8-bolt crank...Drivers-side of block has a big W cast into it, designatinig a "Windsor" and the 8-bolt crank. Some other differences in the engines too I think. Takes the same flywheel as the Cobra Crank (all zero balanced).
