Ok, so the only thing that I've found that will get my exhaust tips clean is an SOS pad. But I'm tired of getting steel wool in my finger tips. Any ideas?

Catalytic Converters. :yup:

:jester: Have you tried Mothers' Metal Polish? Works well on Jeanne's car.

Try out Eagle One or Billy Boat wadding polish. That stuff works wonders! Then I would wax the tips after.

I shine mine with Zaino Brothers polish. It is the same stuff I use on my wheels. Makes them very shiny.

Catalytic Converters. :yup:

I don't think its the cats.

I have cats and depending how much I flog it, I can get some soot on the tips as well.

His tune may be a little rich. Mine is 10:1 at 5000rpm. Mine is definitely worse during the winter(colder temps) though I think.

 Understatement of the year! Factory '03 Cobra tune = dump lots and lots of fuel so retarded owners don't blow up their motors. :notnice: But until I can afford a tune, I'll just have to keep scrubbing the tail pipes.

Thats funny, cause I've seen a few and a few lightnings that seemed a little lean.

Lean it out with a pulley change? :jester:

You can start off with some laquer thinnner on a rag - it dissolves the tar and road grime pretty well. Then, I use wenol, myself.
