Well, I found out today that this is what left my car stranded up on the Dragon Run last weekend. :notnice:

that sucks. we had a hi-torque starter on our mach, can't remember the brand but it was the one they carried at seco. worked great.

Go to Auto Zone or Advance and buy one from them, tell them it is for a 1993.
I put one of those in my '85 and never had a problem, plus they wiegh a lot less than the OEM style older starters, plus they usually carry a long warranty/
That is kind of an odd place for a material failure, I wonder if it got dropped or something?

you can get a mini torque, 94/95 have a small high torque starter.

Yeah, I got one from advanced -- I specified one for a '93 Cobra since I knew they came with the high-torque mini starters.
