351 Cleveland - it's basically the same motor. I think the deck height on the block is the only difference.

351m is trash in comparision to a cleveland.

But, here's what I found.

Both engine types in the 335 series (351C and M-block) share many design characteristics, but the only major component that is interchangeable between 351C and M-block engines is the cylinder head. Several internal components and accessories interchange, including camshafts, timing sets, water pumps, fuel pumps, oil pans, distributors, and thermostat housings (see the interchange table below for more details). All 335-series engines are externally balanced with a 28 oz-in imbalance on the crankshaft (the same as 302 and 351W engines up to 1982).

honestly Nathan, I wouldn't waste the money. I am sure that the costs for any mods will be absurd

heads ,cam, intake...summit has a cam and lifter set that is cheap and would work great ...for less than a bill ..the performer intake and carb would make you happy for a while, but when you want more i have a motor you need to look at...351 boss if you are interested ...... rebuilt ready to go just let me know ...forged 9.5:1 flatops, lunati cam, boss high port heads ,they have massive intake ports which makes power at higher rpm ,it also has a victor high rise single plane manifold and performer carb has power stering pump and water pump belts and pulleys ,and a very will built fmx tranny w/kevlar bands shift kit and stall converter ...over 400 hp easy ... $1500 for both
