It sucked. Made pass on the nitto's. 12.8@121.x mph with a 2.1 60'. Didn't hook until 3rd AT ALL. I picked up 30mph between the 1/8 and the 1/4. Other Nitto pasas was aborted due the blower inlet tube came loose and vacuumed itself to the hood.

Best pass on the hoosiers was 12.4@115. Don't know what was going on here. Had a 1.9 60 (my best of the night). Car felt good but just wasn't pulling on the top end of the track.

Gonna check some things out today and see what was going on.

Sucks to have a 500hp car that only runs mid 12's :shake:

Wow 12.8's you and Brian could have a good race :jester:

did it hook at all with the Hoosiers?

did it hook at all with the Hoosiers?

It did better than it did with the Nitto's :jester:

Its weird, I spun more leaving at idle at FFW (on the hoosiers) and ran 11.8's. (which was still slow for the power the car is putting out but I was granny shifting then too)

Gotta check the plugs today.

I KNOW that car is faster than that for a fact, but hey it sucks you couldn't hook.

I figured it would, still badass. The e.t will get there but that mph = helluva street car.

power with out control is useless oh well wtf its still fun as hell till you get some new parts to fix it ...........

Did have strange 10 ways on the rear until today. Damn bushings were cracked and wore out (at 2k miles :notnice: )

HP motorsport lower control arms and that's it. It wasn't suspension as much as it was power I believe. Last 3 passes were only at 115 mph. Seemed like it was dying on the top end of the track. Wondering if I was having belt slip

Thats what I was just thinking about.
Also what about your air induction tubing, you metioned you had one tube blow off, do you think on the later runs, that perhaps it was blow out to atmosphere, just didn't blow the tube off?

Maybe interested in the Novi2000 Lee? I can still get it probably (cheap). It would be a simpler install.

I would make what I had run decent before I stepped up to something even more difficult to tune.

Are you running the stock blower inlet? The flexible piping?

What FP and timing? Do you have a WB02? Odd that it dropped so much mph.

That car should go 125+. Get it to do at least that, then pull off the noise maker and put a power maker on it!

We already have the blower combination tuned right. He's tired of that 8-rib peice of rubber he has to deal with. :notnice:

Boost without belts is better. :nice:

Awesome, glad to hear it's tuned out well. i know he's been on the dyno a bit with it.

So, where's the 10 sec. slips?

So, where's the 10 sec. slips?
Not possible with humid weather, no track prep, almost stock suspension, and belt slipage. :nono:

I don't think patience with the setup has been a problem with Lee. Most people would have dumped it way before now.

Coming in late on this (had to clean up a section of downed tree in the yard today)

99LS1 is right. Patience hasn't really been an issue. We made or modified 80% of the piping on this kit (its not half assed with shitty welds either) ChipR4cam (our portable machinist :D ) helped out with the piping and made a custom piece to go on the POS belt tensioner that Procharger provides with there kit. We took about a month or a little longer on this install to make sure everything was right since we were fabbing up and changing a lot of pieces. A lot of that time was waiting on other parts as well.

As far as the car running decent. It runs well. 515rwhp on 11:1 a/f is not to shabby. Its made a few kills here and there :D Cranks and idles well. Gets 20 mpg on the interstate. Can't complain. Blower has been on the car since this time last year but I killed the motor before the 10sec timeslips came.

Italian LX is right though, I am completely tired of dealing with a belt. Its time for boost without belts. Better reliability, less stress on the motor, and probably will gain mpg to boot. Not concerned with Tweecer tuning a turbo car. I have a very high confidence level in doing it.

No Matt I am not interested in the Novi. Thanks though. By the way how is my car doing ;)

from what I have read bg makes some pretty good turbo kits for Fox bodies, they are decently priced and dont have the typical 6 month wait that seems to plague alot of turbo companies out there.

93Cobra#2771
07-12-2005, 10:05 AM
A six month wait on a kit isn't so bad - average wait time on my window sticker reproductions runs 4-6 months, believe it or not... :jester: :D

07-12-2005, 10:24 AM
no way in hell I would wait six months for a window sticker, but I guess it is a matter of what is important to you.

6 months for a turbo kit is about as absurd.

93Cobra#2771
07-12-2005, 10:56 AM
Got a waiting list about 10 people deep right now. I'm getting faster as I get templates built, but there are a lot of possible variations, and a lot of research I have to do.

Disney Lincoln

6 months is stupid, but for some reason, these turbo kit companies still sell product. If you want it now, get a HEllion kit, they are in stock and are good quality.

Buddy of mine got a Hellion and a B&G kit. He ordered the B&G 3 months earlier and the Hellion was there and installed before the B&G made it. It was about 4 onths total time on it, but it was held up a long time while waiting for a V-band connection for the GT45 head unit.

Turbo>blower in power
Blower>turbo on delivery.
