Yes, Red Notch, white vinyl top and white hood, 460 car. I talked to you for a while, don't think I ever introduced myself. I knew Marty from the Super Heavy Shootouts and The Commerce FFW race (was at that one too).

My car went some 1.50's before I took the cage out of it...(What a mistake), now 1.70's are the norm for it, but it still ran 11.70's at bristol......it has a stock motor w/ some nitrous on it...and it ran 120mph to boot....LOL

Oh no... I was on teh cruise, I just didn't make it back. MAN!! WTF is up with a "REAL" cruise doing stop and go with a max speed of 25mph? It was like that in COmmerce too, but not quite as bad. I can cruise all day long at 45-55-65, but 15-25??

Add to that the fact that the fans weren't moving much air and the water pump was slowing down and I bowed out about 17 miles into the cruise, just after the U-turn. I saw Marty cruise by and wave at me all broke down.

WTF are you talking about "REAL" cruise??? Apparently you missed the point of the T/S cruise completely. It's to weed out cars that are not TRUE street. If your car can't drive 15-25mph without having issues, then guess what. . . it's NOT a true street vehicle!

Gload I didn't go, I'll probably ran out of gas by the time the cruise was back. Shit, in Commerce when we got back, I told my son, we are going to ran out of gas on the second pass, well right on the burn out box it started to miss fire and fuel pressure went to about 2 psi, to make it to my trailer, but it has a 12 gal fuel cell now.

The problem is i never get into situations where i let my car travel at 15 mph for 20 minutes at a time.

I missed the point of the T/S cruise completely? How is that? Is the point of the T/S cruise to go no more than 25mph in between stopping? I thought the point of the T/S cruise was to prove that your car is street worthy in normal conditions. What we went on were NOT normal conditions. It was not normal for ANY of the T/S orr W/S cruises I have been on. It is somewhat typical to get stopped once in a while, but generally you can still get up to 55mph during the cruise. This cruise was not like that.

The car is plenty streetable. My problem came from before the cruise when the alt. belt chucked and I didn't know it. So with no electric fans moving air, the 15-25mph speeds were causing it to get hot since there was little/no airflow across the rad. core.

So WTF it YOUR idea of the perfect T/S cruise?
