Thought I would split up my questions to separate threads. Felt the other thread had cluttered up with to many questions and topics.

The stock 'Accel Pump Multiplier - Global' in the scalars is 0.390625, so your at 0.796875. What is your injector size?

So does this mean the mulitplier is to rich? Should I lower this value.?

It actually is riching the mixture during acell. If you are not seeing a rich condition I would leave it.

Which direction increases fuel? going higher or lower?

increase the number to get more fuel. I have mine set at 1.99

damn. that is a lot higher than mine. Is there a formula that I should be using to figure out what it needs to be. Also, should this be changed before my MAF is tuned in?

I used Don's value and it worked like a charm. You may want to start with one and see how it does. then increase it by .25 each time.

Where is Don's value at?

His value is just above 2.0, but the tweecer will not allow anything over 1.99. You will need to use a binary editor to go above 2.0. At least this is what I found on the A9L.

It would probably be best to increase the lb/mn in the table and stay below 1.6 or so IMHO. If you increase the lb/mn it should increase the amount of fuel....... :jester:

Either way, but both the table and the scalar have their limits. I believe the table limit is 62 and the scalar is 1.99.

Correct, from what feeble knowledge that I have...... :jester:

Interesting, my A9P has taken up to 2.6

I noticed that. I had to use a binary editor to get it pass the 1.99. I am still playing with the accel function, scalar and table.

FWIW,

I've been working on my AEF table also and it seems that on the A9P Ford decided to zero out or put wierd numbers in the cells that couldn't be accessed with a stock motor/setup. With my KB at 8psi I get into many of these areas and it causes big problems, lean backfiring, hesitation and stall recovery at inappropriate times. Making good progress, so I'll report later.

Mean while one of my BBK Ceramic coated headers developed a crack at a bend in the middle of one tube...major bummer. Putting on a set of JBA Titanium Ceramic coated headers now...got the tough one on so looking good. The JBAs look like very high quality compared to the BBKs.

Was this using the Caledit software?

I have also noticed that there are two scalars for accel:

Address_____________Description__________________ Symbol
0x7002 _________"Accel Pump Multiplier - Global " _____AEM
0x7014 ______________"Fuel Accel Mult"_____________MEFTRA

Yes one global and one just a straight multiplier. Do not remember the addresses though as I am completely brain dead today....

Also on Don's post about being able to go above the 1.99 limit maybe I am wrong about this, but I sure thought that it was 62 & 1.99. Will have to look at this later as now I am " " unsure. Maybe the addresses are incorrect on the A9M/A9P in Caledit? This would make more sense.....
Will have to do a little digging later tonight as now I am really confused......

If I remember correctly, Mike sent Don an update to the A9M dat file. This may have fixed the limits.

Ahhh.....I see. I had forgotten about that.....
So all we need to do is figure out what the real limit is huh?

Dale,

Let me know if you want me to email you the update for my A9P that I got from Mike. I think I sent it to Clint.

I kept increasing the accel global multiplier until my wideband showed no lean spike on tip in. I think it is set around 1.6 right now.

exgmguy,

Try this, manually load your AEF table with the values from the A9L AEF table and set your accel pump multiplier-global to 0.4 (it will round to 0.39xxxx). Guarantee you'll like it.

Don,

If you do not mind email it to me as I was trying to help someone out this week and he still has the older file....
