koni is way to high. the ones that are affordable you have to pull off the car to adjust. :notnice:

I am running the Strange 10 ways (that fit a mustang) on the rear of the 03L, and I just installed a set of QA1 12 ways on the front :nice:

60/40 front and 50/50 rear would be close to stock as you could get with a drag shock...

I like the qa1 12ways but they are higher than giraffe testicles!

ok time to order. how are drag struts/shocks going to respond on the street and in the twisties.

Save your money and get some good multipoint adjustables. Lakewoods are not made for the twisties but I have no complaints as far as the street/highway driving.

I have the same setup as stephen, I like them. I hope to get my 60's down when the new control arms are installed as well as the torque box reinforcements.

When I drag raced more, I had 90/10 and 50/50 in the '85, they were fine on the street, but you could not drive the car hard through the turns.

If you want a drag/good handeling shock, your going to have to spend more to get a multi point adjustable, as Tommy said above.

Otherwise, you could do what I did back in the day, I had two sets of shock/struts and springs, and would change them out for what I was planning on doing. This was a few years ago when there were no multi adjustable (other than Koni street/road race stuff) available.

Tokico Illuminas offer you 5 way adjustment and you can get a full set for under $500!

...even the KYB's are a great bang-for-the buck. Get them with some nice springs & you'll be set for all-around performance. :nice: Without breaking the bank.

70/30s and 50/50s are perfect for the street. I drive mine and I dont have any problems cornering... considering I hope you are not trying to go 65mph in a corner.???
