Been thing about changing to 42 lbs and new maf. Right now i have a 75mm pro-m with 30lbs and thought about a c&l but the people at Dynospeed racing say I will proably peg the meter and are trying to sell me a big air maf but that involves and new maf wiring harness and and chip beening burt or computer tune on the dyno of coarse more money but is it really worth it? Anyone have any suggestion? Oh this is in a 89 with a 331 stroker holley heads and intake with a vortech s-trim.

Get an 80mm for the 42's & you'll be about right. :nice:

You can use the 6pin. You can buy a conversion harness, or you can get a harness pigtail and splice it in to your existing harness.

The two outer pins will not be used. They are act wires. i suggest calling afm and getting a pro mass air systems 80mm.

Pro-m is no longer around sold out or something and a C+L requires a 4 inches of tubing between the maf and air filter that i do not have.

Pro-M is out of business but Professional Mass Air Systems is the new company as they bought out most of Pro-M's "stuff"....

Wow, $8.50 for shipping and handling on a single MAF connector?

i just wired up a trailer light kit (4 wire) so I could swap in an out the newer LMAF style plug with the older MAF plug. Been working great so far.

This also works good with the GM weather pack connectors..... :jester:

Clint,
That does seem a little high. PM Ryan and see how much he would charge for one as I know he should have both of those connectors. Or possibly by the connectors & pins etc. and fabricate your own. He has to be cheaper than that....I would hope anyway.

That connector does not exsist yet.
ShoNutPerformance cuts up old MAF sensors for that adaptor.

I already talked to Clint about it. Can't say much in a public forum

He cuts the end off an original MAF sensor??? That seems weird.

Lee,
Good point I had forgotten about the old Pro-M setups...

Clint,
Might try Professional Mass Air Systems they may have one left over somewhere....

I'm using a 4-conductor cable with custom M/F ends pushed on the connectors. :D

So how much would you say staying with a 75mm maf is hold me back. Still haven't decided and now i have 50lb injectors and can't decide on a recal on my currant meter or a big mouth. Oh congralutions on your 12 second pass it looked great.
