Looks great! I am assumeing the Mexican block is much stronger than stock?Yes it is. Thicker main caps, thicker material in the main cap webbing areas and even thicker material in certain areas on the side of the block. ;)

Here's a link to a tech thread on the mexicans if anyone is interested..........

I noticed in that article Brad that it said the mexican blocks require adjustments either to the block and different length rods, or some type of kit in order to use a roller cam, how are you going to do that?

I'm guessing by "rods" you mean pushrods? The problem is, if you use the stock lifters and spider, then apparently you have to use a reduced base circle cam. Therefore having a different length pushrod. Or you can use retro-fit link bar lifters and use an off the shelf hydraulic and the same pushrods. This being because the lifter bores are apparently shorter on the mexican than the stockers. I think I'm going with the latter.

:slap:
If use stock lifters, you won't have a spider. Mexican blocks are not roller setup. Only roller blocks have the 'spider'

You have to machine the block to use roller lifters

You use the stock spider out of a roller block and tap the block to use it. Then you can use the stock lifters out of a roller block. :slap:

It's a mexican block...throw in a little hotsauce & it'll run fine.
You know; when I lived 20-miles from Mexico, I could've probably had as many crown-vics with mexican blocks I ever wanted for $50 apiece. :nono: hindsight.
