View Full Version : '03 Cobra - Tuning options

I'm considering doing a little tuning on the Cobra. I know there is a lot of room for improvement over the factory tune on these cars. What exactly are my options? I know that I can get a chip burned or go with something like a Predator, but what should I look into and what should I stay away from? I plan to add a blower pulley in the future, too. I'd like to be able to do some of it myself, but I really don't see myself spending endless hours tinkering with the tune. I want to get it right, then let it go. I don't plan on anything radical with this car, just a daily driveable car that makes between 450 and 500 hp (which is fully attainable with the Eaton I believe) on pump gas and handles really well.

:agree: .........For those year models I have not seen anything yet that works as good as the SCT Pro-Racers package.

Buy a Predator from James@RWTD, this guy will nail your tune dead on. I have no complaints with RWTD and oh yea you will hit 475 easy with a upper pulley, CAI and exhaust. These things are way too easy to mod. :)

:hmm: Part of me likes the idea of a RWTD Predator and tune for simplicity, but the nerd in me likes the idea of the Pro Racer kit and 10 cases of Tylenol. :D

predator is good for mail order tunes. Bad thing about the predator, the end user cannot change specific points such as fuel trims or timing. Its either all the way across the rpm or no change at all and to me that sucks.
