Well as most here know by reading my sig, I have a pretty big shot of nitrous on the car that has yet to be tested. Why you ask.............I am scared to that is why. I know that if I hit that button the t-5 is gonna come thru the floor. If in fact that does happen no longer will I be shifting gear, gonna go the lazy route and put in a PA Super Comp C-4 with trans brake and reverse valve body.

What does the lil' 331 ingesting 175 shot of nitrous say to the lil' ol' T-5

"You are the weakest Link...............Goodbye!"

If you know how to launch it it will not break it rght away, it will last a while. When I had the T5 that I built with the 2.95 supe alloy dear kit, I use to launch it at 5k with a 225 shot in my old 347 stroker, it was a wild ride with the T5.

I hear ya Tommy. I need to do something too. Once these cars make good #'s...the T5 seems to go downhill. Adding the jug will just put it out-of-its-misery.

All in how you drive it and how you shock the drivetrain. Some people can make a T5 last an insane amount of time behind some high HP, and some people can't make a T5 last behind a stock motor...

Well the trans is the stock unit with 176k miles on it. Only since the last rebuild has the drivetrain been really shocked on take off. Most of the time I have the suspension pre loaded by using my line loc and and letting out on the clutch a little to get the drivetrain sprung up.
