What's the latest? Any more ideas on why the EEC was commanding lean AFR's?

Yep, I was going to call you tonight.
As bad as I know you hate to hear it, I think you are going to
have to send the MAF in to PMAS to have it re-calibrated, and to
have the electronics looked at, being that we do not have a flowsheet etc.
It acts like the electronics have noise on the MAF signal
line......The only way I know to fix this is to send it in and
have it looked at by PMAS. You did confirm that there is no compressor
surge and that the blow off valve etc. is still in good working order?
I am going to send you a tune later tonight to try and see
if it helps any.
For some reason your maf seems to have a lot more variation
than the 4" Univer that I have now. Where did you buy it from
someone local?

Lee,

One other thing that I forgot to mention is that in my application I have a location for the BOV between the MAF & TB. Theory is when the TB slams shut there will not be as much backwash thru the MAF. Also have previsions for 2 bosch BOV's on each side of the cooler, just in case that it gets clogged up etc. Then of course the wastegates to control boost.
I know it is overkill but oh well..........maybe later on I will take the bosch valves out of the system.

(one of these days I will learn how to spell. ha ha)

yes. I got the univer from a friend. Installing the extra BOV between the MAF and t/b is kinda out of the question. I had planned on installing (and about the only place) the additional BOV right out of the intercooler. The mini race I have now is installed before the cooler. Figured if I added the little bosch after the cooler, the 2 of them would be sufficient

forgot to add....

there is not any compressor surge during normal driving. The reason I am adding the 2nd one is because when I start driving at the track, I know I will see it then.

oh yeah you were right about not wanting to hear it. Its way to close to track day for me to come up with a little over $100 to send the univer back to get checked out and get it back in time :(

Well let's see if we can get it to work good enough until after track day.... ;)

I am going to look at improving one of my MAF connections tonight as well

Well after many revisions and datalogs/tunes back and forth I still did not get the tune as close as I would have liked before the dyno runs, has bucking problems again. :(

Not having a flowsheet and WB info for the exact meter that you are working with really sucks...... :censored:
