what are the best choices for a drag setup. i prefer not to have to spend a ton of money if i can help it. Bogarts, welds, etc are expensive as hell and i dont really have the money to put into that at this time, unless someone knows somewhere you can get them reasonable. i would really like to be able to get a set of D10's  i do prefer something that looks nice, but i can live without it.

do like I did for a few years. Just find you some stock 15" mustang wheels and put some 26x8 e/t drags on them

You should've gone to 5-lug when you had the chance. As you know, the selection of street wheels is limited with a 4-lug set-up..... well, it's even worse of a selection when looking for drag wheels.

No more than you go to the track, I would recomend similar to what Lee suggested. However, I would say find a nice used set of 15x8 draglites and throw some tires on them. Go on Corral.net and look in the For Sale section.

Get some used draglites. You can get a 4 (2 15x3.5s and 2 15x8s) for less than $300 if you look around...Guys are always going to 5 lugs and dumping their 4 lug draglites...

Yeah, but then you have to spend anothger $500+ on the tires to go on them. . . unless you can find a barely used complete set like I did. :D

(2) new 165R15s = $60
(2) 26x8.5x15 slicks with very little use = $200 if you look around some.

From what I hear, you get what you pay for on the front tires. However, I didn't do much research since I was able to find a set with M/T Front Runners already on them. ;)

Shorty, Centerline makes a nice lookin drag wheel like the Weld prostar but the are way way cheaper in price. Check on Summit and see what the got. I was going to switch to the center lines but they don't make them in a 6.5" backspacing I need to run a 10" wheel in the rear.

We need to come up with a correction factor for west coast members. Instead of SAE-corrected, we could call it Cali-corrected.

Hmmm, let me get a good launch and we'll see who's quicker than who. :P

12.14 @ 112.2 + Cali correction factor = 14.33@96.83
